Martin Pluck

Martin Pluck is currently the Group Chief Control Oversight Officer at HSBC, a position held since 2024. Previously, Martin worked in various roles, including Internal Audit at HSBC from 2013 to 2024, and served as the Group Audit, Regional Head for UK, MENA & Rest of Africa at Deutsche Bank from 2012 to 2013. Martin’s career began as an Accountant at Coopers & Lybrand from 1989 to 1994, followed by positions as an Auditor at CS First Boston from 1994 to 1996, and the Global Head of Internal Audit at ING Barings/ING Bank from 1996 to 2000. Martin also served as a Business Manager and Non-Core Treasurer at the Royal Bank of Scotland between 2004 and 2007, and later consulted on Treasury Integration at the same bank from 2008 to 2009.
