Melissa Heise

Melissa Heise is the Head of Tax for HSBC Americas, a position currently held in 2024. Previously, Melissa served as the Director and Tax Counsel at RBS from 1997 to 2013, and as the SVP Tax Counsel at HSBC Global Banking and Markets between 2013 and 2016. Melissa also held the role of Chair of the Tax Committee at the Institute of International Bankers from 2010 to 2016. Prior to these roles, Melissa worked as Tax Counsel at Prudential Securities from 1994 to 1997. Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Bowling Green State University, followed by a Doctor of Law from Syracuse University College of Law, and an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
