Michael Folsom

Michael Folsom is currently the Head of Infrastructure Finance, Asia Pacific, Legal at HSBC and serves as a committee member of the APLMA Energy and Infrastructure Finance Committee. They previously worked as a Senior Associate at Watson Farley & Williams, specializing in renewable energy and infrastructure projects. During this time, Michael was involved in significant financings, including the US$3 billion Changfang and Xidao offshore wind projects and several solar and wind project financings in the UK and Vietnam. Michael also held a secondment as Counsel at the Asian Development Bank, where they contributed to various renewable energy projects across Asia. They earned a BA Hons in Theology from Durham University, a GDL and LPC with distinctions from BPP Law School, and an MBA with distinction from Imperial College Business School.
