Michael Silas

Michael Silas, Ph.D., is currently the Global Head of Cybersecurity Data and Infrastructure Engineering at HSBC, where they focus on big data analytics, IT network monitoring, and cybersecurity data analytics. They have previously held positions such as Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they specialized in financial fraud detection and data engineering. Their academic background includes a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science in Management Science from the University of Dayton. Additionally, they have served as a lecturer at Columbia University School of Professional Studies and held several research and analyst roles in cybersecurity and transportation.
