Millicent De Wet

Millicent De Wet is the Global Head of Insurance Financial Crime Compliance at HSBC, a position held since 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Manager in Financial Crime Compliance at HSBC's Retail Banking and Wealth Management division from 2014 to 2020. Millicent has extensive experience in the financial sector, including roles as Forensic Investigator and Senior Internal Auditor at Santam Ltd, as well as Associate Director in Financial Crime at Barclays Bank from 2008 to 2013. They also held the position of Audit Manager at Prudential for a year in 2013-2014. Millicent began their career at the South African Police Service, where they worked as an Instructor and Detective from 1992 to 1996. They obtained a B.Bus Sc in Business Management from the University of Stellenbosch from 2000 to 2003.
