Nick Andrews is a Senior G10 FX Strategist at HSBC and has been with the company since 2024. They served as the founder and author of The Alchemy Note earlier that same year. Previously, Nick worked as an economist and financial market strategist at Gavekal from 2013 to 2023, and as a repo trader at Morgan Stanley from 2000 to 2007. Their education includes a BEng (Hons) from The University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London. Nick's early career also included reporting on bond markets and derivatives for Dow Jones from 2007 to 2010.
