Peter Smith

Peter Smith is currently the Global Head of Client Product & Solutions, overseeing Regulatory Compliance for Global Payments, Trade, Research, and Sustainability at HSBC. With extensive experience in risk and compliance, they have led global teams across various functions, including payments and trade. Previously, Peter served as Chief Operating Officer of Global Communications at HSBC, managing significant restructuring projects and operational risk. They also held a brief role as Director of European Public Policy at AFME, representing the organization to European authorities. Peter earned a BSc in International Securities, Investments, and Banking from the University of Reading.
