Polina Samuel is a seasoned professional in U.S. sanctions compliance, currently serving as SVP and Head of US Sanctions Advisory at HSBC since 2016. They previously held positions as a Senior Compliance Analyst at Citi and a Sanctions Compliance Officer at the Office of Foreign Assets Control, U.S. Department of the Treasury. Polina began their career as a Legal Assistant at Baumann, DeSeve & Landau and completed internships and clerkships at the Department of Justice and Beach-Oswald Immigration Law Associates. They earned a Juris Doctorate from The Catholic University of America and a BA in Spanish and Sociology from Georgetown University.
