Rhonda Chu possesses extensive experience in IT and banking, having held significant roles at notable institutions. Beginning as an IT Team Leader at Westpac from 1987 to 1994, Rhonda progressed to Team Leader at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing. A long tenure at HSBC from 2008 to 2020 saw Rhonda serve in various capacities including Business Programme Manager for HSBC Core Banking and Global Head of Programme Practice for credit control services IT, overseeing project governance, budget management, and system implementation. Additionally, Rhonda played a crucial role in developing and launching HSBC Direct in Taiwan and managing multiple e-channel projects across Asia Pacific.
