Samir Assaf is the Chairman of MENA and a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic, as well as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Boards of HSBC Bank Middle East Limited and HSBC Middle East Holdings. With a career spanning over two decades at HSBC, Samir served in various senior roles, including Chief Executive of Global Banking and Markets and Chairman of Corporate and Institutional Banking. Currently based in London, Samir also contributes to climate initiatives as Co-Chair of the Coalition for Climate Resilient Investment and is a member of the Advisory Board for BeyondNetZero. Samir holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Sciences Po.
