Sarah Rickard is the Head of Policy, Reputational & Sustainability Risk at HSBC Group, where they lead the ESG Risk agenda for HSBC UK, focusing on sustainable practices and financial risk management related to climate change. Having joined HSBC in 1998 as a graduate trainee, they have held various roles, including Head of ESG Risk and Deputy Programme Director for Ring-Fencing & Banking Reform. Sarah is an Oxford graduate with a master’s degree in Physics and is currently pursuing a BSc in Financial Services at The University of Manchester. Outside their professional commitments, they run a community bee farm that supports vulnerable individuals while producing local honey. Sarah resides in the Midlands with their family.
