Schyan Zafar

Schyan Zafar is a qualified life insurance actuary and statistician who recently completed a DPhil in Statistics at the University of Oxford, with a thesis focused on "Applied Bayesian Inference for Diachronic Meaning Change." Zafar has extensive experience in life insurance consulting and model review, having held roles at HSBC as a Senior Manager in Independent Model Review and at Towers Watson as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. Prior to these positions, Zafar completed summer internships at Aon Hewitt and the Royal Bank of Scotland, and briefly taught Maths and Further Maths at Lahore Grammar School. Zafar is currently on a contract with HSBC while seeking to expand their expertise into General Insurance and Quantitative Finance.
