Steven Smith CertICM has over three decades of experience in the financial services industry, beginning with a role at NatWest Bank from 1987 to 1993 in Client Service and FX. Following that, a tenure at ABN AMRO spanned from 1993 to 2001, focusing on Global Transaction Solutions. From 2001 to 2008, Steven served as Director of Origination and Client Coverage at Standard Chartered Bank, with international roles in New York, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. After a brief period as Chief Representative for Europe & UK at First Gulf Bank, Steven worked as Director of Global Transaction Banking at HSBC from 2010 to 2013, before taking on the role of Regional Sector Head for Global Payment Solutions in 2018. Additionally, Steven contributed as a Middle East Markets Adviser for UK Trade & Investment from 2009 to September 2010. Educational qualifications include degrees from The University of Manchester and Western Governors University, as well as a certification from the Association of Corporate Treasurers in International Cash Management.
