Sumit Patel

Sumit Patel, PhD, is currently an Assistant Vice President in Traded Risk at HSBC, where they focus on derivative valuation and risk management. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Consultant at EY from 2018 to 2021, providing quantitative advisory services in market risk. Sumit’s earlier experiences include working as a Scientist at VSSC within the Indian Space Research Organization and as an Assistant Manager at Mahindra & Mahindra Pvt. Ltd. They hold a PhD in Aerodynamics from the Indian Institute of Science, where they also completed a Master's degree in Aerodynamics-CFD.
