Syed Islam

Syed Islam, CISSP, is a seasoned professional in cloud and cyber security with extensive experience across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Vice President and Cloud and Cyber Security Architect at HSBC since December 2021, Syed previously held roles such as Manager of Cloud Security Architecture at Tata Consultancy Services and Enterprise Information Security Architect at Wells Fargo, where responsibilities included providing security architecture direction and conducting risk assessments. Additional experience includes designing security infrastructure at NTT DATA and performing risk reviews at Morgan Stanley. Syed began a career in IT security management at TiVo and has worked in roles ranging from Data Center Engineer to Senior Network Engineer, contributing to a diverse range of security and network projects. Syed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information System Management from The City University of New York.
