Varun Pai is currently an Assistant Vice President in Asia equity strategy at HSBC, a role they have held since 2022. Prior to this, Varun served as a European equity strategist at Evalueserve from 2019 to 2022, and worked as a Private Equity Analyst at Shore Group Associates between 2016 and 2019. Varun's earlier experiences include a position as a Senior Management Trainee in Capital Market Services at HCL Technologies in 2015, and a summer internship at ThyssenKrupp in 2014. Varun holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Goa University and an MBA in Finance from Goa Institute of Management.
