Will Bassett has extensive experience in technology and project management within the financial services sector. Beginning a career at UBS Investment Bank as Associate Director of Equities IT, Bassett led project management and business analysis for Automated Execution from September 1998 to May 2004. Afterward, an Associate Partner role at m.a.partners followed until May 2007. Bassett advanced to various senior positions at Credit Suisse, serving as Senior Programme Manager and Head of Equity Derivatives IT in the APAC region from February 2014 to April 2016. Subsequently, Bassett held the position of Senior Programme Manager in Equity Derivatives at Citi from December 2016 to February 2020 and has since been with HSBC, initially as Head of Equity Derivatives Technology from March 2020 to June 2025 before assuming the role of CIO for Equities and Cross Asset Technology.
