William Leung

William Leung is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and legal practice. Currently serving as the Group Head of Regulatory Compliance for Digital at HSBC since February 2008, William leads the Global Regulatory Compliance team, focusing on enhancing compliance frameworks and policies for digital banking within the Global Wealth and Personal Banking sector. Previous roles at HSBC include Head of Global Compliance Digital Hub, Senior Manager for Global WPB Regulatory Compliance, and Senior Compliance Manager for Hong Kong, where William developed compliance policies across various banking sectors. Prior to HSBC, William practiced as a barrister, providing legal advisory services to notable organizations, including the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong. William holds a Post Graduate Certificate of Laws from CityU School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from Kingston University, alongside recent studies at London Business School.
