Wise Gao is the Global Head of Automation Platforms CoE in Corporate and Institutional Banking Technology at HSBC, a position held since 2025. Previously, they served as the Head of Regional Delivery and Global Head of Low Code No Code COE in Wholesale IT at HSBC from 2023 to 2025, and as the Country Head of Software Development at BMO Financial Group from 2009 to 2012. Their experience also includes being the Head of IT at Morgan Stanley Commercial Bank China from 2015 to 2016 and the Regional Head of Engineering for Group Insurance at AIA from 1999 to 2009. Wise is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Sun Yat-sen University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Fudan University.
