Mark Toal is an experienced technology leader with a demonstrated history of working in health and social care. Currently serving as the Interim Assistant Director of Digital Services and Head of Technology Innovation at Southern Health and Social Care Trust since September 2008, Mark has expertly managed eHealth projects and provided strategic advice to enhance service delivery through technology. Previous roles at the trust include Acting Assistant Director of Informatics and Acting Head of IT, where responsibilities spanned information technology, information governance, and clinical coding. Mark’s career began at Southern Health & Social Services Board as a Primary Care ICT Support Officer, complemented by experience as a Software Engineer at First Derivatives. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Technology from Queen's University Belfast.
