Gideon Barak

Gideon Barak has extensive experience in the technology industry, with a focus on mobile communications and semiconductors. Gideon co-founded HT BioImaging in 2015 and currently serves as the Chairman. Gideon previously held the position of Chairman of the Board at Idesia-biometrics.com from 2007 to 2012, where they helped develop biometric authentication solutions. Barak also served as Chairman of the Board at Advasense image sensors from 2004 to 2011, contributing to the development of innovative CMOS Image Sensor products for cameraphones. In addition, they founded IXI Mobile in 2000 and served as Chairman of the board until 2008, playing a part in the development of cellular handsets and PDAs. Gideon was a Venture Partner at Benchmark Capital and Blue Run Ventures in 2005 and 2006. Barak served as a Board Member and first investor at Modem-Art from 1999 to 2005, where they were involved in the development of a baseband processor for 3G W-CDMA. Gideon founded and served as Chairman of the Board at Envara from 2000 to 2004, where they developed a complete chipset solution for wireless LAN. Barak held a position as a Board Member at Widcomm, Inc. from 2000 to 2004, where they contributed to the development of a Bluetooth protocol stack. Gideon was also the Chairman of Adjungonet, a company that developed a gateway for cellular operators, from 2001 to 2003 before it merged with Flash Networks Inc. Their previous experience includes serving as Chairman at Butterfly Ltd from 1995 to 1999, where the company was acquired by Texas Instruments. Overall, Barak's work experience demonstrates their expertise in technology development and business leadership in the telecommunications industry.

Gideon Barak completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Tel Aviv University from 1980 to 1983. Gideon then pursued their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on finance and marketing at Tel Aviv University from 1984 to 1986.
