Mathieu Proctor

Mathieu Proctor is an experienced urban design professional with a diverse background spanning various roles in the field. Currently a Tutor in Urban Design and Placemaking at UCL since October 2017, Mathieu previously served as Principal Urban Design Officer for the London Borough of Lewisham and the London Borough of Hounslow, where critical projects included the New Cross Gate Masterplan and the award-winning Urban Design Framework for 2019. Mathieu's career began with urban design roles in Australia, including urban design contributions at HASSELL and as an Urban Design Officer with the New South Wales Department of Planning. Notable positions include Senior Urban Designer roles at Perkins+Will and We Made That LLP, as well as leadership in team strategies related to growth and infrastructure at the Greater London Authority. Currently, Mathieu holds the position of Head of Urban Design at HTA Design LLP, focusing on strategic urban design projects. Education efforts include engagement through teaching and leadership in academic settings.
