Amy Wang is a Compiler Researcher at Huawei Technologies Canada, where they focus on performance analysis and runtime optimizations for real-time risk analytic trading systems, as well as hardware transaction memory and various compiler optimizations. Previously, they served as a Senior Principal Engineer and Distinguished Engineer at Huawei, and as an Advisory Software Developer at IBM Canada Ltd., contributing significantly to IBM’s XLC/C++ and Fortran compilers. Amy holds a Master of Applied Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto. An IBM Master Inventor with over 30 patents, Amy has co-authored more than 15 papers and received the Outstanding Technical Achievement Award in 2012.
