David Harmon is currently the EU Director for Cybersecurity and Public Affairs at Huawei, where they manage strategies and stakeholder relationships related to EU legislative activities. Previously, Harmon served as Vice-President of Global Public Affairs at Huawei from 2014 to 2019, overseeing international government affairs and stakeholder relations with numerous multilateral organizations. With a background in law, they qualified as a solicitor in Ireland and hold Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in European Law from University College Dublin. Harmon has extensive experience in EU institutions, having been a member of the cabinet of the European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science and worked as a senior communications advisor in the European Parliament.
