Markus Spiekermann

Markus Spiekermann is currently a Lead Architect for Data Ecosystems at Huawei Technologies, where they focus on building infrastructures for data exchange and addressing challenges in interoperability, scalability, and trust. Engaged in the Eclipse Foundation's Eclipse Dataspace Components project, Markus aims to develop free and open-source frameworks for effective data sharing across organizations. Previously, they led the Data Business Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering ISST, managing research teams and international projects. Markus holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Information Systems with a focus on IT Management from the FOM University of Applied Sciences, where they now serve as a research fellow at the Institute for IT Management and Digitization.
