Rong Wang

Rong Wang is a Chief IT Architect and Senior Director of Technology Strategy at Huawei Central Research Institute, where they focus on Future Network Architecture, Software Defined Networking, and Data Center architecture. With over 20 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure and software development, Rong previously worked for Cisco Systems for approximately 12 years, where they held roles such as Solutions Architect and IT Domain Architect. Rong’s early career included positions as a Computational Linguistics Scientist at New Mexico State University and as an IT Engineer at LSI Logic, where they contributed to various innovative projects in technology and infrastructure design. They hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from New Mexico State University.
