Zhen Cao is a Network Stack Designer with a passion for the intricacies that underpin the global Internet. They designed the essential EAP Re-authentication Protocol (RFC6696) and have contributed significantly to wireless access technologies, including WiFi and 5G. Currently, Zhen serves as a Network Stack Expert at Huawei and co-chairs the LWIG Working Group at IETF, while previously holding roles at various esteemed organizations including Intel and China Mobile. Zhen holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Peking University and has extensive research experience, including a postdoctoral position at Leibniz Universität Hannover.
