Ali Young

Ali Young has over 20 years of work experience in the software engineering field. They started their career as a Software Engineer at MBNA in 1997 and then joined Hewlett-Packard as a Software Developer in 2000. In 2002, Ali joined Vodafone, where they worked for over 10 years in Systems Integration and Application Support roles. During this time, they gained expertise in scripting and monitoring wholesale billing and mediation systems. They also participated in various migration projects and developed intranet pages for system monitoring. In 2013, Ali worked as an IT Consultant at DigitalRoute, Cartesian, and Unitymedia KabelBW GmbH, where they provided support, testing, and maintenance for the MediationZone installation. They also developed shell scripts and supported Cartesian's Ascertain solution. From 2014 to 2014, Ali served as a Senior Developer at Rolls-Royce, contributing to the design, development, and testing of a Fuel Management System. In 2015, Ali joined Vodafone again and provided support and development for a hardware migration and software upgrade of a billing mediation system. At Chronos Technology Ltd from 2016 to 2020, Ali worked as an R&D Software Engineer, focusing on maintenance releases, bug fixing, and change requests. They were also responsible for analyzing and solving problems in deployed applications. Currently, Ali is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Huboo starting from December 2020.

Ali Young attended Merchant Taylors' School from 1981 to 1986, where they completed their A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Following that, Ali studied at the University of Bristol from 1986 to 1989, earning a B Eng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
