John O'Brien is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in both leadership and technical roles. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Director at Hudl since July 2014, John has progressed through various positions including Engineering Director and Software Engineer. Prior to this, John co-founded Replay Analysis Ltd, where responsibilities included designing a sustainable operational cost model and developing a market-leading cloud-based video distribution service. Academic experience includes research associate roles at Loughborough University, focusing on energy consumption reduction and data visualisation, as well as a contract for BAE Systems on synthetic environments. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Systems Engineering and a First-Class Honours BSc in Computer Science, both from Loughborough University.
