Ferdinand Mom is currently a Research Engineer at Hugging Face, working on large scale pretraining since January 2024. Prior experience includes a research engineer internship focused on large scale pretraining at the same company, and a research scientist internship at Criteo where contributions were made to the "RWKV: Reinventing RNNs for the Transformer Era" paper accepted at the EMNLP conference. Ferdinand participated in Google Summer of Code in 2022, contributing to the OpenVVC decoder through SIMD code development. Further internships include applying compression methods at InterDigital, while also engaging in deep learning model compression at LRDE. Ferdinand is pursuing a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Vision, and Machine Learning at ENS Paris-Saclay and holds a Master of Science in Computer Science & Engineering from EPITA, along with experience in an exchange semester at Inha University. Skills include proficiency in Python, Shell, and TensorFlow 2.
