Robert Torres

Robert Torres has over two decades of experience in the technology sector, currently serving as Vice President at Hughes Network Systems since 1999, where responsibilities include technical strategies in IP networking, management, security, system design, rapid prototyping, project management, design verification, deployment support, and system performance analysis. Prior to this role, Robert worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at TekSci from 1998 to 1999, focusing on networking system design for the Teledesic LEO satellite project while contracted with Motorola. Robert's career began at Bellcore from 1992 to 1998 as a Systems Engineer, specializing in system engineering and testing for ISDN and related telecommunication technologies. Robert holds a Master's degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
