Michael Hoffmann

Vice President Sustainability & Communications at Huhtamaki

Michael Hoffmann has extensive work experience in various roles related to sustainability, communications, and external affairs. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Sustainability & Communications at Huhtamaki, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Sustainability & Communications at Huhtamaki from January 2022 to November 2022. Before joining Huhtamaki, Michael worked as a Senior Advisor at TelosNRG from September 2020 to August 2021 and at Renaissance from November 2019 to August 2020. Michael also served as the Head of Corporate Affairs and Partner Relations at Greenwood Strategic Advisors AG from May 2017 to October 2019. In addition, Michael held the position of Director of Public and External Affairs at Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG from January 2009 to March 2017. Michael has also worked for BP in various capacities, including Communications & External Affairs Director, Regional Development Initiative (RDI) Manager, and SIA Co-ordinator / Social Team Leader. Michael'searlier experience includes roles at People's Dialogue on Land and Shelter and Homeless International (now Reall).

Michael Hoffmann obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geography from UCL. Michael then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Planning Practice for Developing Countries at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. In 2019 and 2020, they completed the MBA Essentials program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In 2021, Michael received a Certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge. In addition, they obtained certification in Corporate Sustainability, Social Innovation, and Ethics from Imperial College Business School in 2020.
