Tom Loefler

Tom Loefler is the CEO, founder and inventor of Hullbot, where they lead product vision and company strategy for underwater drone platforms that inspect, map and interact with submerged structures. They have a background as an industrial designer and tech innovator, with experience as design manager at Park Industrial (2012–2016), mechanical design engineer at East Wave Systems (2016–2017), boat builder at Peter & Ruth Wilson Boats (2006–2008), and as a self-employed designer and fabricator (2007–2013). Their education includes a Bachelor of Industrial Design with Honours from UNSW Australia (2012–2015), studies in Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering at UNSW (2008–2011), and an Industrial Design Engineering program at Delft University of Technology (2014). They have also worked as an industrial design educator and mentor.
