Luis Argumedo

Luis Argumedo has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Their most recent position as an Ingeniero de software at Human API began in September 2022. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at wOS (YC W21) from December 2021 to June 2022. In this role, they were responsible for managing projects in both the operations and customer-facing side of things. Luis integrated Google Forms and Sheets with Firebase to streamline the B2B sign-up process and created an internal CMS using Next.js for content creators. Luis also conducted research on technologies and third-party services to make technical decisions.

From November 2017 to August 2021, Luis worked at Wizeline as a Software Engineer. Here, they performed various tasks such as bootstrapping the initial product frontend and design system's components using Next.js and Tailwind CSS. Luis also worked on the authentication system using Okta and OpenID Connect and added functionalities to the chatbots engine. Additionally, they contributed to the WSJ project by working with Snowplow to track idle time when reading articles on the website.

Prior to Wizeline, Luis worked at CityDrive as a Software Engineer from March 2017 to November 2017. Luis also gained experience as a Software Engineer at VoxFeed from October 2015 to December 2016, where they developed web applications.

Luis started their career at Intel Corporation in March 2014, where they worked as a Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included developing web applications and automation scripts using Ruby, NodeJS, and MongoDB for server management.

Before joining Intel, Luis worked as a Fullstack Web Developer at Freelance from July 2013 to March 2014. As a Fullstack Web Developer at Ding from July 2011 to March 2012, they utilized PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to improve product development time by introducing jQuery and CakePHP to the stack.

Luis Argumedo pursued their education between 2009 and 2014 at the Universidad de Guadalajara, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Engineering.
