Frederik Baastrup

Frederik Baastrup has an extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Frederik is the founder of Human Bytes, a Nordic integrator for AI in Healthcare. At Human Bytes, their role is to build long-term partnerships within the healthcare sector, support healthcare professionals in decision-making, and improve patient outcomes throughout the Nordics. Frederik focuses on overcoming barriers to implementing AI in Healthcare to achieve full scalability and unleash the true value of the technology.

Prior to founding Human Bytes, Frederik worked at Mediq Danmark A/S as a Sales Director and Sales Manager. As the Head of Hospital Solutions, they managed a group of dedicated specialists working with specialized medical equipment for hospitals. Frederik was responsible for establishing supplier relations, strategic partnerships, and identifying potential M&A candidates. Frederik also led a specialist sales team within medical devices for hospitals, driving sales, establishing relationships with stakeholders, and executing strategic plans for new product introductions and tenders.

Before joining Mediq Danmark A/S, Frederik worked at Philips Healthcare, Imaging Systems, where they held the positions of National Key Account Manager and Sales Account Manager. As a National Key Account Manager, they drove sales and developed the market for long-term partnerships with Philips Healthcare to enhance clinical excellence within hospitals. Frederik worked across clinical specialties with products such as Direct Radiography, CT Scanners, MRI Scanners, Advanced Molecular Imaging, and Interventional X-ray. As a Sales Account Manager, they focused on sales of Anesthesia machines and ICU/OR project sales, particularly in electrical and gas supply pendants.

Earlier in their career, Frederik worked at Standard Systemer A/S as a Sales Manager and Key Account Manager. As the Sales Manager, they were responsible for the sales and marketing team in Denmark and Sweden, as well as export and business development in Scandinavia, Germany, and the UK.
