Kyle Barss

Kyle Barss has worked in a variety of roles in the communications and media industry since 2006. Kyle's most recent position is as a Systems Design Engineer at Human Circuit, a role they began in 2021. Prior to this, they were the Director of Technical Operations, Video at The Washington Post from 2013-2021. Before that, they were a Communications Engineer at ABC News in 2012. From 2008-2012, they were an Audiovisual Production Assistant at the Newseum, and from 2006-2008 they were a Media Associate at Luntz, Maslansky Strategic Research, where they edited media for live analysis at focus groups and operated technology to incorporate a realtime reaction dial system onto media clips.

Kyle Barss attended James Madison University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a degree in Media Arts & Design with a focus in Broadcasting & Journalism - Television.
