Human Development Center
Michaela Scharmer is currently a Clinical Intern at HDC, managing a caseload of clients for Targeted Case Management and Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Michaela has previously served as a Dispositional Advisor Graduate Intern at the Sixth Judicial District Public Defenders Office and as a Case Manager for the Oh No! Eighteen Program at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. Experience also includes roles as a Senior Youth Worker and Social Service Intern, focusing on case management and support for youth from diverse backgrounds. Michaela has been an Emergency Response Member with AmeriCorps, contributing to COVID-19 response efforts, and has held various leadership and advising roles at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Michaela holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and is pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work at the same institution.
