Earlier in their career, Austin worked as a data scientist and senior data scientist at Affectv, where they helped develop core technologies and held a leadership role in patent efforts. Austin's educational background includes a BS in Computer Science from Portland State University and an MSc in Speech and Language Processing from The University of Edinburgh, among other qualifications.
