Andrei Cristea is currently a Doctoral Student at Human Technopole, focusing on population-scale single-cell RNA sequencing data analysis to investigate the effects of ageing and autozygosity on gene expression in PBMCs. Previously, Andrei conducted genome-wide eQTL analysis at King's College London to identify methylation-associated eQTLs in CpG islands related to imprinted genes. Andrei's internship experiences include work in the Genetics Department at The National Institute of Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Bals”, where research targeted HCV viral therapy, and the Metabolism and Systems Research Department at the Institute of Biomedical Research, focusing on metabolic activity of PASK kinase. Additional internship experience in the Clinical Microbiology Department involved diagnostic strategies using advanced molecular techniques. Andrei holds a Master of Science in Human Molecular Genetics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Birmingham, complemented by a high school diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science from Colegiul National Sfantul Sava Bucuresti.
