Geronimo Maspero

Geronimo Maspero is the Co-Founder and CTO at Humand. Geronimo was previously the Coordinator & Project Leader at TechTrek from December 2018 to October 2019.

Maspero undertook an intense three-week trip to Silicon Valley and attained 50+ meetings with big companies, VCs, startups, universities, accelerators, and entrepreneurs, learning from their experiences and studying in depth how the entrepreneurial ecosystem works. Geronimo led the Fundraising team and for the first time in Tech Trek’s history raised funds from well known companies in the United States, such as JP Morgan and Celo, by giving to the organization’s value proposition a special focus on strategic customization. (10+ companies sponsored Tech Trek, including Pan American Energy and McDonald’s.)

Geronimo created a network of 100+ contacts between Silicon Valley and entrepreneurial hubs of Argentina (2 countries and 16+ provinces connected). Geronimo brought 40+ highly talented students from 10+ Argentine provinces to Buenos Aires on a five-day trip to connect, learn and empower from Buenos Aires’ entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Maspero organized and moderated a 100+ participants technical Hackathon addressing global tech solutions (BioTech, FinTech & EdTech), with professional speakers and mentors from JP Morgan, Accenture, Prisma, Gridx and Sirena. The event was hosted at top-tier coworking space A3 and had special guests attending, like the Nation’s Secretary of Entrepreneurship.

Geronimo also organized a 100+ people technical conference on ITBA’s principal graduation auditorium with professional speakers from different companies addressing Data Management applied to AI and Virtual Reality. Finally, they organized a tailor-made Hackathon for McDonald’s which consisted in having +50 professionals and highly talented students working together in order to ideate and build a solution to a real challenge that McDonald’s is currently facing. Some professionals that assisted to the event were coming from companies including Mercado Libre, Globant, Accenture and SAP.

Geronimo Maspero studied software engineering at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires. Geronimo also attended the Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School and holds a bilingual high school diploma in economy and administration from the Colegio Ward. Geronimo has received certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Confucius Institute U.S. Center, TechCrunch, jp morgan, and the University of Cambridge. Geronimo has also received certification from the College Board and Educational Testing Service (ETS) in SAT and TOEFL respectively. Finally, they have received certification from the University of Cambridge in IGCSE and FCE.
