Julia Heuer has a wealth of experience in the field of mathematics. Julia began their career in 2008 as a Project Manager for Pediatric Bioscience, Inc. In 2011, they became a Secondary Mathematics Teacher at San Benito High School, where they collaborated to create and implement standards-based curriculum to address the diverse needs of students. Julia then moved to Vacaville High School in 2012, where they created and implemented Common Core State Standards-based formative and summative assessments to help guide students' learning. In 2017, they became a Mathematics Teacher at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they assisted students in mastering the SCOUT course material and communicated with parents and students about learning progress. Most recently in 2022, they began working as a Technical Customer Support Specialist for Humanly (humanly.io).

From 2010-2012, they earned a Master of Education from the University of California, Davis - School of Education in Secondary Mathematics Education and Teaching. In 2004-2005, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz for Neurobiology and Neurosciences. In April 2022, Julia obtained a Data Analytics Meta Skills Badge from UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education.
