Johan Burger

Johan Burger is the regional sales manager for Humanstate in South Africa. Prior to this, they were the area manager for Defy appliances for eight years. In this role, they oversaw sales staff in the Mpumalanga region, managed all marketing aspects of the business, and ensured growth in line with the company vision and mission. Johan also handled all logistical needs of the company, including on and off site delivery arrangements, determinig marketing strategy in line with competitors and budgets, e-marketing through the DEFY website, bulk mails and newsletters, corporate identity development and service to keep up standards, financial aspects of the marketing budget, marketing and advertising proposals in line with budgets and company mission, communications on corporate level - business to business marketing, managing a team of merchandisers, identifying new growth opportunities and developments in store, above and below the line strategies, SWOT analysis, exports into emerging markets like Mozambique and Swaziland, pricing structure and implementation, and managing a team of sales representatives all over the Mpumalanga and southern Limpopo regions.

Johan Burger has a Bachelor of Commerce from the North West University - PUKKE in Chartered Marketing & International Trade. Johan also has a Matric Certificate from Barbeton High School.

Johan Burger reports to Sarah Whitehead, Head of Sales, South Africa. They are on a team with Kobie Pieters - Regional Sales Manager, South Africa, Josh Dwyer - Sales Manager, South Africa, and Jannie Smith - Regional Manager - Sub-Saharan Africa & Head of Support, South Africa.
