Humber Rescue is an independent lifeboat charity delivering fast-response search and rescue operations across the Humber Estuary.

For 36 years, our volunteer crews have provided a critical emergency response service on one of the UK’s most complex and unpredictable waterways. We operate across approximately 540 square miles of water, covering the River Humber, River Hull, Trent and Ouse.

The Humber is renowned for its shifting sandbanks, powerful tidal flows and challenging conditions, even the most experienced navigators can be caught out. Our crews are on call 24/7, ready to respond to incidents involving persons in the water, missing people, vessels in difficulty and multi-agency emergencies.

Entirely funded by the public and powered by volunteers, Humber Rescue exists to protect life on the water and along its shores.
