Humberside Search and Rescue (HUMBSAR) strives to deliver a first-class, professional search and rescue service whenever and wherever needed. This is made possible by the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers, who commit to regular training, exercising, and operational duties, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to our shared goal.

The team will be an entirely voluntary lowland search and rescue team providing vital search and rescue services to Humberside Police and its partner agencies. The team will be deployed by Humberside Police to assist with search operations, deploying our qualified search technicians to locate vulnerable missing persons.

HUMBSAR is fully supported and funded by HFR Solutions CIC, a local community interest company specialising in emergency response and workspace safety. HFR Solutions’ mission is to make the Humber region a safer place to live and work.

Our volunteers will receive training in accordance with National Policing Search Standards, ensuring they are equipped to operate in line with the National Police's Concept of Operations and common minimum standards for search and rescue procedures.
