Benjamin Yu MD PhD has a long and distinguished career in medicine and informatics. Benjamin began their career in 1998 as an Intern in Internal Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, followed by a Residency in Dermatology. In 2002, they became a Faculty and Attending Physician in Dermatology at UC San Francisco, and a Postdoctoral Fellow there as well. In 2014, they moved to Interpreta as Vice President of Medical Informatics and Genomics, where they led clinical strategy, oversight, and communication, and headed patient analytics and AI/ML predictive analytics. In 2021, they became the Chief Medical Informatics Officer at Spectator Health, and the same year they founded and became the CEO of Narrative Clinical Informatics. Currently, they are the Chief Informatics Officer at Humetrix.

Benjamin Yu MD PhD has a long education history. Benjamin obtained a B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991. Benjamin then went on to receive an M.D. Ph.D. in Immunology from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1998. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Key Personnel - COI, Data or Specimens Only Research, CITI Good Clinical Practice, and Biomedical Research Certification from the CITI Program in 2021 and 2022.
