The Hummingbird is a competitively priced fluid harmonic damper that can be distributed throughout a building, improving efficiency and giving more leasable space back to the building owner.  

Harnessing fluid mechanics technology in collaboration with NASA, the structural engineering experts at Thornton Tomasetti developed the Hummingbird Damping System.  Thornton Tomasetti performed system testing & refinement, and successfully implemented a full-scale system on a building to demonstrate its effectiveness in reducing wind-induced building motions. 

RWDI and Thornton Tomasetti are now equal partners in this technology company, whereby Hummingbird Kinetics® leverages the 25+ years of Damping System expertise at RWDI in design and implementation of damping solutions to resolve motion issues for structures of all types.
