Martin Kou

Co-Founder & CTO at Hummingbot

Martin Kou is the Co-Founder and CTO of Hummingbot, a company that specializes in cryptocurrency trading bots. Prior to Hummingbot, Martin was a Senior Software Engineer at Apple Inc. from August 2011 to May 2017. While at Apple, Martin worked on the Apps and Productivity team where they were responsible for advanced technology and prototype projects. Martin also mentored an engineering intern in collaboration with Siri team. In addition, Martin worked on bringing collaborative editing and a web-based version to the iWork suite of apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynote). Some of their notable accomplishments while at Apple include being part of the team that launched iWork for iCloud in 2013 and presenting at the Apple Special Event in 2016 on Real time collaboration.

Prior to Apple, Martin was the Co-Founder and Director of TixxMe from January 2011 to August 2011. At TixxMe, Martin was responsible for strategy, product design, interviews, training, software architecture, system admin, and coding. Martin also produced a number of small open source projects that were used by other StartX companies during that time. After the closure of TixxMe, Martin's startup source code was released in BSD license on BitBucket.

Martin has a wealth of experience in the tech industry and continues to be an innovator in the field.

Martin Kou's educational career began with a computer engineering degree from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Martin then completed certification from Coursera in machine learning.
