A neighbourhood shaped by people, nature, and learning by doing

For a century, this 41-hectare coastal district – just a few kilometres from Tallinn’s centre – was an industrial zone, closed off to the public. Now, step by step, it’s opening up, unlocking three kilometres of coastline and inviting people back to the seaside.

Over the next decades, Hundipea will gradually grow into a lively, adaptable, and welcoming neighbourhood, making life more enjoyable for people while giving nature the space it needs.
