We have a vision: the universal acknowledgement of photographic heroines past, present and future. Our mission is to achieve this.



Our strategy to deliver this mission is to:

•	Highlight heroines whose work is bringing about positive change globally.  We are not afraid of tackling taboo subjects and complex issues.

•	Survey the past and put the record straight about the contribution of the pioneering heroines of photography.

•	Encourage audiences to join us on our pathways of exploration towards intellectual and cultural enrichment.

•	Celebrate the creativity and imagination of our heroines.


Through our mission, we’re actively contributing towards furthering the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly goal #5:  Achieve gender equality and empower women and girls.
