Matthew Schaefer

Matthew Schaefer has extensive experience in the IT industry. Matthew started their career at SOS Computer Consulting in 1996, where they worked as a Partner until 2001. Following that, they interned at Berne Enterprises Inc in 2001. In 2002, they started their own business, Great Lakes Web Consulting, and served as the Business Owner until 2004. Matthew then worked as a Marketing Manager at Sudtek Computers from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, they joined Agri Valley Communications Inc as a LAN/WAN Administrator until 2007. Since 2007, they have been a part of Huron Casting Inc, first as the IT Director and currently as the Chief Information Officer.

Matthew Schaefer attended Central Michigan University and received a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies in 2003. Matthew then pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science in Administration degree with a field of study in Information Resources Management in 2009. Additionally, in 1999, Matthew Schaefer attended Great Lakes Jr College to study Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Matthew has also obtained multiple certifications, including DoD Mandatory Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training from CDSE in July 2021, G Suite Administrator Fundamentals from Coursera in January 2018, and Internet of Things from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in February 2017. Matthew Schaefer has obtained several other certifications and completed various training programs throughout their education history.
